Replacement theology says the church superceded Israel. Separation theology says that they are distinct. Remnant Theology says that God's Chosen People are believing  Jews and grafted in believing Gentiles.
But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees come to his baptism, he said unto them, O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come? Bring forth therefore fruits meet for repentance: And think not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to our father: for I say unto you, that God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham. And now also the axe is laid unto the root of the trees: therefore every tree which bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.

Neither give heed to fables and endless genealogies, which minister questions, rather than godly edifying which is in faith: so do.  (1Ti 1:4 KJVR)

 

But avoid foolish questions, and genealogies, and contentions, and strivings about the law; for they are unprofitable and vain.  (Tit 3:9 KJVR)

 

 

Give none offense, neither to the Jews, nor to the Gentiles, nor to the church of God: Even as I please all men in all things, not seeking mine own profit, but the profit of many, that they may be saved.

(1Co 10:32-33 KJVR)

 

National Israel consists of believing and unbelieving Jews.  The church consists of believing Jews (The Remnant) and Gentiles.  

1 Cor 10:32-33 says, to me,  Do not offend unbelieving Jews nor unbelieving Gentiles nor the Assembly of believers made up of Jews  like Paul and Gentiles like Cornelius.  Paul is talking about 'all men."

 

 

Wherefore remember, that ye being in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands;

That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world:

 

But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ. For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us; Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace;

 

 

 

 

 

And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby:

 

And came and preached peace to you which were afar off, and to them that were nigh.

 

For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father. Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints, and of the household of God;

And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone; In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto a holy temple in the Lord: In whom ye also are builded together for a habitation of God through the Spirit.

What this says to me:

 

Wherefore remember, that ye use to be physical Gentiles, who are called Uncircumcision by National Israel which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands;

That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world:

 

made nign (near) like 'them that were nigh" in 2:17.

There is no middle wall of partition between Jew and Gentile

Act 10:28 And he said unto them, Ye know how that it is an unlawful thing for a man that is a Jew to keep company, or come unto one of another nation; but God hath showed me that I should not call any man common or unclean.

 And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:
 In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ:
 Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead.
 And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;
 Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;   Col 2:10-14


Reconcile both believing Jew and believing Gentile into one body,  the Commonwealth of Israel (v12), one new man (v15), The Household of God, (v19)


Preached to far off Gentiles and the near Jews.

'Jews that were nigh' see above 'Gentiles are made nigh.'(v13)

 

Ye Gentiles are now included in the Chosen People of God.

 


"A Holy Temple" that is the House of God.
Temple is found 117 times in 106 verses.

 

Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? (1Co 3:16 KJVR)

If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are. (1Co 3:17 KJVR)

What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? (1Co 6:19 KJVR)

And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. (2Co 6:16 KJVR)

In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto a holy temple in the Lord: (Eph 2:21 KJVR)

Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshiped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God. (2Th 2:4 KJVR)

 

There are three Different Greek words used in the New Testament, ‘kataleimma,’ ‘loipoy’ and ‘leimma,’ all of which are translated remnant.
To the Jew First
But the Jews stirred up the devout and honorable women, and the chief men of the city, and raised persecution against Paul and Barnabas, and expelled them out of their coasts. But they shook off the dust of their feet against them, and came unto Iconium.   (Act 13:50-51 KJVR)

But when the Jews saw the multitudes, they were filled with envy, and spake against those things which were spoken by Paul, contradicting and blaspheming. Then Paul and Barnabas waxed bold, and said, It was necessary that the word of God should first have been spoken to you: but seeing ye put it from you, and judge yourselves unworthy of everlasting life, lo, we turn to the Gentiles(Act 13:45-46 KJVR)

 

 

And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear your words, when ye depart out of that house or city, shake off the dust of your feet. (Mat 10:14 KJVR)

 

Even the very dust of your city, which cleaveth on us, we do wipe off against you: notwithstanding be ye sure of this, that the kingdom of God is come nigh unto you. (Luk 10:11 KJVR)

That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith. Brethren, I speak after the manner of men; Though it be but a man's covenant, yet if it be confirmed, no man disannulleth, or addeth thereto. Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ. And this I say, that the covenant, that was confirmed before of God in Christ, the law, which was four hundred and thirty years after, cannot disannul, that it should make the promise of none effect.

Abraham, Issac, Jacob...Jesus

"Now to Abraham and his seed ... which is Christ."

Rom 4:9-13 KJVR

(9) Cometh this blessedness then upon the circumcision only, or upon the uncircumcision also? for we say that faith was reckoned to Abraham for righteousness.

(10) How was it then reckoned? when he was in circumcision, or in uncircumcision? Not in circumcision, but in uncircumcision.

(11) And he received the sign of circumcision, a seal of the righteousness of the faith which he had yet being uncircumcised: that he might be the father of all them that believe, though they be not circumcised; that righteousness might be imputed unto them also:

(12) And the father of circumcision to them who are not of the circumcision only, but who also walk in the steps of that faith of our father Abraham, which he had being yet uncircumcised.

(13) For the promise, that he should be the heir of the world, was not to Abraham, or to his seed, through the law, but through the righteousness of faith.

 

The blessedness comes upon the Gentile, too, because faith was reconed to Abraham when he was uncircumcised SO THAT he could be the father of all believers even if they are uncircumcised Gentiles who also walk in the steps of that faith.

 

He is the father of circumcision to them ... who also walk in the steps of that faith

 

The promise was that he would be heir of the world.
