Saving Grace

For by grace

are ye saved

through faith;

and that not of yourselves:

it is the gift of God:

Not of works, lest any man should boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

(Eph 2:8-10 KJVR)

By means of the  Divine influence upon the heart,

you are healed and made whole

via confidence

And that confidence does not originate with you,

It is a free, unearned, unmerited present from God

The Divine Physician

And he said unto them, Ye will surely say unto me this proverb, Physician, heal thyself: (Luk 4:23a KJVR)

And Jesus answering said unto them, They that are whole need not a physician: but they that are sick I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.  (Luk 5:31-32 KJVR)

The Divine Medicine

But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. (Isa 53:5 KJVR)

Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.  (1Pe 2:24 KJVR)

Biblical Example:

Saul the AntiChrist

Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son. (1Jn 2:22 KJVR)

Saul of Tarsus (Acts 9:11; 21:39; 22:3) was a very educated and religious man; A student of Gamaliel (Acts 5:34; 22:3). Saul agreed with the stoning death (Acts 7:58-8:1) of Stephen and made havoc of the Church (Acts 8:3)

Saul was one of many who thought they were doing service for God by attacking Christians.

(They shall put you out of the synagogues: yea, the time cometh, that whosoever killeth you will think that he doeth God service.  (Joh 16:2 KJVR))

And Saul, yet breathing out threatenings and slaughter against the disciples of the Lord, went unto the high priest, And desired of him letters to Damascus to the synagogues, that if he found any of this way, whether they were men or women, he might bring them bound unto Jerusalem.  (Act 9:1-2 KJVR)

But Paul said, I am a man which am a Jew of Tarsus, a city in Cilicia, a citizen of no mean city: and, I beseech thee, suffer me to speak unto the people.  (Act 21:39 KJVR)

I am verily a man which am a Jew, born in Tarsus, a city in Cilicia, yet brought up in this city at the feet of Gamaliel, and taught according to the perfect manner of the law of the fathers, and was zealous toward God, as ye all are this day.  (Act 22:3 KJVR)

Then stood there up one in the council, a Pharisee, named Gamaliel, a doctor of the law, had in reputation among all the people, and commanded to put the apostles forth a little space;  (Act 5:34 KJVR)

And cast him out of the city, and stoned him: and the witnesses laid down their clothes at a young man's feet, whose name was Saul. And they stoned Stephen, calling upon God, and saying, Lord Jesus, receive my spirit. And he kneeled down, and cried with a loud voice, Lord, lay not this sin to their charge. And when he had said this, he fell asleep. And Saul was consenting unto his death. And at that time there was a great persecution against the church which was at Jerusalem; and they were all scattered abroad throughout the regions of Judea and Samaria, except the apostles. And devout men carried Stephen to his burial, and made great lamentation over him. As for Saul, he made havoc of the church, entering into every house, and haling men and women committed them to prison.  (Act 7:58-8:3 KJVR)

As for Saul, he made havoc of the church, entering into every house, and haling men and women committed them to prison.

(Act 8:3 KJVR)

Intervention on the Road to Damascus
And as he journeyed, he came near Damascus: and suddenly there shined round about him a light from heaven: And he fell to the earth, and heard a voice saying unto him, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me? And he said, Who art thou, Lord? And the Lord said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest: it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks. And he trembling and astonished said, Lord, what wilt thou have me to do? And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the city, and it shall be told thee what thou must do.  (Act 9:3-6 KJVR)

When Saul attacked the church it was the same as an attack on Jesus Himself.

Jesus enters the life of Saul the antichrist and transforms him into a new creature, Paul the Apostle of Jesus Christ.

Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. (2Co 5:17 KJVR)

For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision, but a new creature. (Gal 6:15 KJVR)

And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness. (Eph 4:24 KJVR)

And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him: (Col 3:10 KJVR)

And there was a certain disciple at Damascus named Ananias; and to him said the Lord in a vision, Ananias. And he said, Behold, I am here, Lord. And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the street which is called Straight, and inquire in the house of Judas for one called Saul of Tarsus: for, behold, he prayeth, And hath seen in a vision a man named Ananias coming in, and putting his hand on him, that he might receive his sight. Then Ananias answered, Lord, I have heard by many of this man, how much evil he hath done to thy saints at Jerusalem: And here he hath authority from the chief priests to bind all that call on thy name. But the Lord said unto him, Go thy way: for he is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel: For I will show him how great things he must suffer for my name's sake.  (Act 9:10-16 KJVR)
